Homemade Pupsicle Recipes.
Beggin' for Bacon!
Okay now, I know it may not be your idea of the dream dessert, but for Fido it’s the best! Combine 1 ¼ cup of non-fat, plain yogurt, ¼ cup of plain applesauce, 3 ounce-bag of real bacon bits. Pour into pupsicle molds or ice trays and freeze until solid.
Fruit Pupsicles.
You'll need 1 package of fresh blueberries and 1 cup of non-fat, plain yogurt. Begin by smashing 1 cup of blueberries in a bowl, add 1 cup of plain yogurt and fold the ingredients together. You can use the fruit that Fido loves the most (don’t forget to discard any of its pits or seeds!). Pour into pupsicle molds or ice trays and freeze until solid.
Chicken Pupsicles.
Combine 1 cup of low-sodium chicken stock, ½ cup of water, and ¼ cup of finely chopped cooked chicken in a bowl, be sure there are no bones. Pour into pupsicle molds or ice trays and freeze until solid.
Watermelon Madness.
Start with 2 cups of chopped and seedless watermelon and 1 cup of non-fat, plain yogurt. Puree the watermelon until smooth. Add 1 Tbl of yogurt to each space in your mold or ice cube tray. Fill the rest of the way with watermelon puree and freeze until solid.
